It is SPRING today. Guys, that’s official! No kidding. Springtime! In London there are blossoms on the trees, and they look like big fluffy clouds - and place our heads and thoughts exactly there. In the clouds, we mean.

And you know what? No way we are going to wait any longer. Of course, we never wait, and we did say it before - but we are all human, and we repeat ourselves sometimes - we did wear a good share of “comfortable” and “cosy” things in winter, using these words as an excuse to dress down all the time. As much as we like it, but today it is spring, and spring it will be in a summer dress in spring. We see, you are confused with our logic? You think it’s too cold for a summer frock right now? We don’t. We have some loveliest dresses from the previous summer that we can wear now. No way we are waiting any longer and we are not going to stand two things: raised eyebrows and colds. Therefore we will still be a little sensible. We will take it easy still and wear things that way - so even our granny would approve. (Yes, we have a granny, and she worries about our health and demands us in scarves and hats still. Yes, we are grown-up but grannies are all same, right?).

Summer dresses are not only for summer. We say it. Do you really want to argue on 1st of March?

Chain massacre dress! No idea how Dasha actually calls it, but it is so obviously a killer. We mean “a killer” for many reasons, yes. Because it’s a pure rarity for us here. We dug it out from the very end of the rack in our lovely showroom a few weeks ago and were puzzled (yes, we were). It is a pattern from 1962, which looks like a very subtle modern twist on the 80’s - with enough grace and dignity. We do love 80’s not for the grace and dignity - but for the boldness and craze, and yet it is still here. With this cut, yeah?

Of course, we love dinner parties and quiet evenings with glass of wine and a coffee after, some music playing softly and maybe a little dance in your own living room… But tonight we are putting this one ON and going OUT! Some high heels, some champagne maybe and a stronger drink afterwards. We like the fact that life can be everything but boring - and no way our evening-going-night is going anywhere boring. Not in this dress. It says - party. It screams - to us at least - PARTY!

You know, we love Moscow. We really do - we love it for many many reasons, as it is beautiful in winter and summer (in between it is sometimes a little too dirty! really!). Now, in February 2012, it is really stunning: it’s been -20ºC for a few weeks now, and sun is shining, and snow is sparkling, and all the churches and monasteries against the bright blue sky… Yes, it’s really great in the daytime if you just walk around.

But that’s the highlight. The worst thing about Moscow is the traffic. You know, this we really do not like at all. Traffic. Traffic jams. For hours. Yes, it happens everywhere else in the world too - but it seems to us that Moscow traffic is somewhat particularly astonishingly bad. We mean, you can really get stuck in the traffic for 3 hours in the evening, and it drives you crazy!

On reflection, sometimes things that give you such a strong emotion (this case is not about affection, rather the opposite thing, but still very strong!) - such things can inspire you too. Sitting in a traffic in Moscow for a few hours - and a lucky find in the fabric collection: The Traffic Jam Dress, voila! Well, ok. Dasha didn’t name this dress “The Traffic Jam Dress” but what else can you name it? We think that this dress must be a lucky one. All the red light will stay on the dress, and all the traffic light will turn green with envy. All the cars, jammed together, will stay on the collar of this dress (or on the belt, if you fancy) and the road will be yours. The buttons - oh how we love these fine little details, don’t you? - the buttons are pearly red, pearly yellow and pearly green. Well, you understand what they mean, right?

We love this dress, we surely do. It’s a really great dress to get the traffic’produced stress levels significantly down. When we think of this dress, we don’t even mind the traffic, really. And, of course, if it’s gets too bad and you get really nervous during your third hour on the way home - just take the collar and the belt off and do some yoga! This will definitely help.

(PS. We think that Masha looks sooooo pretty on these photos, we can’t help but staring at her now. That’s another little secret to tell: this beautiful girl Masha is Dasha Pomeranzeva’s very sister. Oh yes!)
